NIMA conducts webinar on Basque region in Spain, other unique destinations on cards

This event was part of NIMA’s quest of introducing unique but accessible locations, which would increase the bouquet of offerings of NIMA members to their end customers.   

In continuation of its quest for providing meaningful knowledge sessions, resulting into revenue enhancement opportunities for its members, NIMA (Network of Indian MICE Agents) has successfully conducted a webinar on Basque Region in Spain. According to the association, the event was a great success, where NIMAites attended this interactive session to the capacity, well appreciated by the Basque tourism board and MICE supporting team. 

Maitane Tocino, MICE Manager – Basque Tourism, led the session and made some insightful presentations which lured attendees like never before. Andres Rodrigues of MICE Euskadi addressed the questions of attendees, ranging from the ideal season to visit to support from the tourism board.

Notably, Basque is an attractive region, offering beauty of Europe in a compact package, from Mountain to Beaches; Golfing to Music. Region where “Gastronomy is Culture and Culture is Identity”. Food is the way of life, so much so that one of their taglines is “Hope you’re Hungry”! A great destination for Spring and Autumn, since summers could be hot.

Webinar opened with welcome address by Gajesh Giridhar, NIMA’s National Coordinator. Vikas Khanduri – NIMA’s Advisor and Rakesh Arora – Coordinator for Administration, Finance & Membership took care of the organising the event while Dr. Anup Tarafdar, Coordinator – Event took care of web-logistic support. Event concluded with a vote of thank by Dr. Nitin Mittal – Coordinator – Southern Region.

Setting the base with this, more unique destination presentations are on the cards next month, revealed NIMA.
