Centara Hotels & Resorts anticipates 20% increase in India’s market share

Hosts Rewards & Recognition Night in Mumbai and Delhi, celebrating 40 years of its journey.

Centara Hotels & Resorts hosts dazzling Rewards & Recognition Night in Mumbai and Delhi, to recognize the exceptional efforts of travel partners in the Indian market as well as celebrate its 40 years legacy of offering top-notch hospitality. This is the second edition of Centara’s Rewards & Recognition Nights in India, and the first ever that has been hosted in Mumbai.

Each event marked the presence of over 100 key travel partners and notable industry figures including Wirote Phaimuanghung, Deputy Director, Tourism Authority of Thailand, New Delhi Office; along with key representatives from Centara namely Jurairat Mongkolwongsiri, Corporate Vice President of Sales; Max Ma, Global Sales Director – Asia; Moumita Mukherjee, Director of Sales & Marketing, South Asia and GCC at Centara Hotels & Resorts, amongst others.

The evening in Mumbai commenced with a presentation by Mongkolwongsiri, drawing light on Centara’s operating properties, introducing key team members, and unveiling the company’s environmental ethos. This was followed by an awards ceremony honoring top-performing partners in both B2C and B2B segment, with trophies and certificates for their significant contributions. Additionally, the launch of Centara Mirage Beach Resort Maldives was announced, which is Maldives’ first fully integrated family destination featuring a water park.

Talking to T3, Mongkolwongsiri mentions that Centara expected a 10% increase from the Indian market earlier, but seeing great response received in 2023, Centara Hotels & Resorts now anticipates a 20% increase this year. “India is a very important market for Centara, as India is positioned in the top 10 source markets. The great response is spread across segments like FIT, leisure, business, and now we have started to receive a lot of requests for wedding events. Our focus is across all segments equally as the diverse set of Centara properties in the different regions specialize in catering experiences for all, respectively.”

Speaking about the celebration, Mukherjee mentioned “We are happy to introduce Maldives’ first fully integrated family destination featuring a water park, Centara Mirage Beach Resort Maldives. Centara is anticipating a 20% increase in market share, underscoring the brand’s growing popularity in the region. The Rewards & Recognition Nights reinforced Centara’s commitment to its partners and showcased its expanding portfolio of unique, family-friendly resorts.”
